The Netherlands is not exactly known for its wine. However, since the 1990's there's been a steady increase of wine production in the Netherlands. Nowadays smaller vineyards are popping up all over the Netherlands, and not only in hilly Limburg as most assume. There are currently 170 vineyards around the country which produce annually in total around 1 million bottles. Tiny huh?
However, did you know that Dutch wines receive awards regularly in international wine competitions, have won a prominent spot of wine lists of Michelin star restaurants and have been served in KLM's Business Class for more than 10 years? Yep, it's true, it's time for you to taste them!
For this wine meetup, I and Nadien de Visser of Le Club des Vins will select and serve you 6 of our favorite Dutch wines, we will pair them with local delicacies and tell you all about Dutch wines and what makes them so special.
Join us for a fun summery wine tasting!
