I love the wines of the Italian South! There are still so many undiscovered grapes and wine styles. So unique. It's unlikely that you will ever get to taste them if you do not hunt them down or travel to specific regions of Italy and ask for them specifically. For my personal study of wines from the South of Italy, I have 8 different bottles of very special wines, most of which I'm sure you've never heard of! Exciting right?!
